All staff matter.

I know you know that, but are you addressing it in the right way? Staff wellbeing shouldn't be the same for everyone.

Is equality the same as fairness? That’s something we will explore together. Can you treat everyone equally and still meet their needs? Or do we need to be focussing on fairness rather than equality in the workplace?

I want you to think about the range of people you have in your school. Their job titles and day to day roles, their age, gender, race, religion, family circumstances. They are all vastly different aren’t they!

Through my research in this area I have found that staff members can often feel ignored, ostracised, misunderstood and put upon when their needs are not taken into account and the school adopts a one size fits all approach or concentrates their efforts on only ones section on their staff.

But hang on, before you panic and think that is unmanageable and way too much work, I want you to take a step back and breathe! My session will explore what I mean by all of this and give you easy solutions that you can implement straight away. It might seem like a lot of work, but it doesn’t have to be.

Every staff member matters.
